Assalamualaikum wbt.

She wore red trainers

Assalamualaikum wbt.

I have half an hr to write a post. Sebab tak competent, half an hr tu macam sekejap sangatlah unless kalau rambling mungkin cepat sikit.

Ada seorang ukhti mencadangkan untuk buat book review, so I just think thats a brilliant idea. Hence mewajibkan diri sendiri untuk at least tulislaaa satu :P The main objective is to distract me from writing nonsense like I always do.

So I start off with a book titled, 'She wore red trainers' by Naima Roberts.

I bought and read the book during exams week. Its something light, so thats how I eased my stress, which ended up I became addicted with reading such books. lepastu beli lagi, and tak study. The blame should be on me. haha.

You can buy it online (kalau uk lah, malaysia maybe ada kat mph(?) or kinokuniya(?)), or you can buy the kindle version. Thats how I got addicted, when you can access your kindle in every gadget -theyll update the last page that you read tau. handy isnt it?

I think the book is suitable for teens- especially muslim teens who're struggling to get hold on to the deen, and tryna do things right in ikhtilat, and to keep things halal-to get married lah maknanya. The story's delivered using first person perspectives, but what makes it interesting is, there are two main characters (Ali and Amirah)-so there are two different 'lintasan hati'.

The way they met macam fairytale sikit. Sorry I dont believe in such situation where both of the characters were mesmerize the first time they met(not even met. in fact dalam cerita ni, they just saw and mesmerized by the presence) each other. Is that for real? ada ke? I like the story, the way its narrated, the struggle and all. But I dont quite like the ending- get married and..the end. Its somehow like..you got married, thats it, happily ever after. Btw the main characters are both young, around the age yg nak masuk uni, just finished school.

Despite the ending, I admit that the story is to address ikhtilat, and the journey towards keeping things halal (Im actually repeating ayat atas lol). thats why the ending camtu. Anyhow, I'd really recommend the book to teens, especially in Malaysia, we dont quite get it, how can someone get married when we dont even know each other (gejala couple)? Id recommend my sisters to read it too.

So peeps, it's possible lah. I was one of the people yang tak faham tu. Now I do. Alhamdulillah.

I end this post with an ayah,
(anNur:26)

I'm struggling too. Let's mujahadah to be a better person together.

Thats my half an hr. thank you.
